Approached from an adult perspective, the work is not an act of nostalgia but of integration: a return to what was once overwhelming without denying it, collapsing into it, or turning it into spectacle. These locations hold the residue of experiences that were not met with care, protection or language at the time.

Each setting is constructed from elements drawn from different places, creating an environment that feels specific while resisting a fixed geography. The work emerges from an interior knowledge formed under conditions where exposure carried cost. Visibility is carefully controlled, allowing intensity without confession and beauty without seeking validation.

Past and present, innocence and harm, vulnerability and self-possession coexist within a non-linear sense of time. The images resist resolution, holding what was lived then alongside what can be understood now.
