Memory Seed is a speculative photographic project that reimagines the emotional gaps in personal history through the lens of artificial intelligence. Anchored in a single childhood image of my sister, the work blends personal memory with machine-generated visual storytelling, using an AI model as both a creative collaborator and a conceptual provocateur.

Through still and moving images, the project probes questions of authorship, identity, and the construction of memory in the algorithmic age. Rather than seeking factual accuracy, it embraces the poetic and the uncanny, challenging what it means to ‘remember’ when memory is mediated through code.

By exploring how emerging technologies intersect with intimate histories, Memory Seed opens space for critical reflection on AI’s role in shaping collective memory, emotional agency, and intergenerational storytelling, particularly for younger audiences growing up in digital culture.
