HOW MUCH OF A WOMAN

Animation Film, 2006

How Much of a Woman is a short animated clip addressing the reduction of the abstract and subjective concept of femininity into statistics. Created as the final project for my Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication, I used a home scanner to capture hundreds of impressions of the female body, blending these images with typography and animation.

My aim was to emphasise the burden and limitations imposed by the modern idea of femininity, as expressed through the often reductive outcomes of numerical measures.
